T’ai Chi Is not based on any religion or any person. It is based on the philosophy of Taoism which means ” path” toward harmony, balance, tranquility and a calm spirit. The goal of T’a Chi is peace and tranquility that is achieved through focused breathing, slow, choreographed movements, imagery of nature and the natural world and letting our bodies be soft and light. Patience is the ability to stay in the here and now. Giving our bodies, mind, brain and spirit a break every day is healthy, good for the soul and leads to a sense of wellbeing even in these difficult times. Peace. Linda
