The Red Envelope

Each year at the Lunar New Year, I share the red envelope tradition with my students. I make a slight change in the tradition in that the envelope does not contain money but a word. This year, each envelope contained one of 3 words- mind, body or spirit. Intuition guides the student to choose one envelope out of many. The word in the envelope is a guide to the student and it is left to each student to ponder the meaning of the word. This tradition is appreciated by the students as it gives them a chance to consider why the envelope chose a particular word. It allows us to use our imagination and creativity to make sense of what is important as we journey forward. Peace, Linda
